1. Open a new, blank image 500 x 500 pixels transparent image (16 million color depth). File > New > set size & set color depth.
2. Selections > select all. Open the notebook element - I used notebook_3 as my tag is mainly pink, but use the other if you want to colorize it or keep a sepia look - see my alternative! Copy and paste in selection. Even though my paper is pink I colorized it more to blend in more with my tube. Deselect.
3. *To colorize - select your solid color from your tube, click onto that color and make a note of the Hue and Sat, close that box. Colors > colorize and enter in the numbers you made a note of - in my case... Hue ~ 6, Sat ~ 87.
4. Open the stitches elements, click on the selection tool with rectangle selected and draw around your choice of stitches.
Copy and paste as new layer on your canvas. If desired... rotate... Image > rotate > 90 with all layers UNchecked.
5. Position the stitches as desired. Duplicate this layer, Image > mirror.
6. Open your day planner, copy and paste as new layer, position as desired. On your layer palette change the blend mode to luminance.
7. Select a dark color from the day planner or tube as your background and set your foreground to null. Open your fancy script and with create as vector and antialias both checked and size approx 18 depending on your font, add a few dates on the calendar.
Resize and position each one as desired and when happy, convert to raster layer. Repeat for each date. Merge > merge visible.
8. Open your tube, copy and paste as new layer, resize and position as desired.
9. Effects > 3D effects > drop shadow with settings: vertical ~ -4, horizontal ~ 3, opacity ~ 50, blur ~ 3, color ~ black *if you're using a misted tube don't add the drop shadow.
10. Add a new raster layer for any copyright information and another for your own watermark.
11. Change your background color to a dark color from your tube or background... I changed it to #D9B7B1 and change your foreground to black. Open your fat font and with create as vector and antialias both checked add yor tag nick.
12. Effects > 3D effects > inner bevel of choice. Effects > 3D effects > drop shadow with same settings as before.
13. Drag the nick layer down below your tube *this depends on your tube... in my male version the tube was misted so I left the text on top*
14. Resize as desired and save as JPG
