Supplies:
PSP
2 masks of choice
tube of choice
font of choice
accents or elements of choice
Xenofex 2 HERE
included in supplies: accents, tube, masks & font HERE
 
1. Open a new, blank image 500 x 500 pixels transparent image (16 million color depth). File > New > set size & set color depth
 
2. Open tube of choice and select 2 colors from it.  Use the 2 colors to form a gradient
 
3. Flood fill the blank canvas with the gradient, duplicate the gradient layer, image > flip
 
4. Make sure the 2nd layer is highlighted, effects > plugins > Alien Skin Xenofex 2 > Shatter with settings: BASIC: piece size ~ 35.50, thickness ~ 10, tumble ~ 18, time ~ 59, shadow opacity ~ 70, shadow blur ~ 5.76, make selection transparent checked, LIGHTING: increase contrast ~ 80, lighting direction ~ 135, highlight brightness ~ 100, highlight size ~ 20
5. Merge > merge visible and duplicate.
 
6. Open the central mask (I used unbenannt-42, but you can use another similar one that you like).  Hide the top layer and highlight the bottom layer, masks > new > from image, select the mask and have invert mask data checked.  Masks > delete > yes.
7. Highlight the top layer and repeat the same mask this time UNcheck the invert mask data.  Keep this layer highlighted
8. Image > resize > resize by 85% with resize all layers UNchecked
9. Effects > artistic effects > glowing edges with settings: intensity ~ 2, sharpness ~ 6
10. Highlight the bottom layer, open the edge mask, masks > new > from image, with invert mask data UNchecked, masks > delete > yes
11. Copy and paste your tube as new layer, resize and position as desired.  Effects > 3D effects > drop shadow with settings: vertical ~ -5, horizontal ~ 5, opacity ~ 75, blur ~ 10, color ~ black
12. Add any accents or scrap elements you like
 
13. Add new raster layer for any copyright information and another for your watermark
 
14. Open your font and with create as vector and antialias both checked, resize and position as desired, convert to raster layer
 
15. Add any bevel you wish and the same drop shadow as before.
 
16. Resize as desired and save as jpeg.
