What Are You?

This tutorial is my own creation, any similarity is purely coincidental!

This tut requires a couple of filters, but is simple enough for a beginner to try out

1. Open a new, blank image 500 x 500 pixels transparent image (16 million color depth). File > New > set size & set color depth.
2. With black as your foreground and background set to null, select a preset shape with line width on 2 and create as vector checked draw a shape to nearly fill your canvas rename this layer "shape"
3. Select your wand tool and click inside the the shape, selections > modify > expand by 3, click on layer 1 and add a new raster layer. Flood fill with your choice of gradient. Highlight the shape layer and delete it so the black lines go away! Deselect. Now you should only have 2 layers remaining
4. Effects > plugins > Toadies > What Are You with settings: X-dose ~ 24, Y-dose ~ 29 **depending on the shape you choose will depend on the settings!**
5. Effects > plugins > Harrys Filters with settings: group ~ nature, FX ~ Tornado, Wildness ~ 245, Width ~ 147, Max Width ~ 154, X-Offset ~ 145, brightness ~ 4, normal ~ 255 and medium selected. **experiment with the settings on this filter it's a very cool one!**
6. Open your tube, copy and paste as new layer, position and resize as desired. Effects > 3D effects > drop shadow with settings: vertical & horizontal ~ -6, opacity ~ 50, blur ~ 5, color ~ black
7. Open the doodle of choice, copy and paste as new layer. Duplicate the layer, image > mirror. Hide all layers but the 2 doodle layers, merge > merge visible
8. Duplicate the merged layer, image > flip and position all as desired. Drag the tube layer to the top
9. Open your font and with create as vector and antialias both checked add your tag nick, positon and resize as desired then convert to raster layer.
10. Add any inner bevel you like to the text. Effects > Plugins > Lokas > Aqua with default settings and color overlay UNchecked.
11. Effects > 3D effects >dropshadow with same settings previously used (or your own choice!)
12. Add another raster layer for any copyright information and another for your watermark
13. Add any further accents/elements you wish, resize as desired (I used the diamond enclosed) and save as a jpeg.
